My name is Min. Lee O. Tarpeh, the founder of Global Interior, and a minister of the gospel at Vinyard Christian Fellowship in Corona, CA. I am a native of Liberia who fled from Liberia during the Liberian civil war which began in 1990. I was struck by the poverty and hardship in Liberia when I visited the country in 2010. So many children were orphans that were left with no food, clothes, shoes nor a mean to be educated. I was inspired by a young widow who had seven school-age children. The widow could not afford to send any of her children to school and they had No hope for a better future. I paid the widow’s rent and tuition for the children. The difference made to the family was clear and astonishing and inspired me to offer help at a larger scale.
Since January 2nd, 2011 GIF has given hope to families who cannot afford the cost of education, nor provide basic school supplies including book bags, uniforms, clothing and shoes for their children here in America and Liberia. The joy and hope the student receive inspire us to give more..
